Is Mythology and Legend the same?

This explains that mythology is not that far from a legend. Maybe the definition of myth and legend are very much alike, but the mythology includes stories of gods and goddesses, supernatural forces, creatures and characters and stories of heroines. The only similarity that a legend and myth has are the stories that talks about the creation and origin of things or of what and why a thing was created.
